Drivers traveling on Hana Highway from Hana through Kipahulu may encounter brief delays Monday through Tuesday when traffic will be reduced to one lane for crosswalk painting, Haleakala Naitonal Park officials say.

Delays are expected to be no more than 15 minutes, according to officials.

To improve pedestrian safety, highway traffic in the Kipahulu section of Haleakala National Park will be restricted to one lane while road crews paint pedestrian crosswalks that lead from parking lots to park trails.
