Maui woman tells police she bit kidnapper in the face and fled

By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 02:19 a.m. HST, Sep 09, 2013

A Maui woman fought off a sexual assault by biting one of her attackers in the cheek, Maui police said.

The woman, 20, was kidnapped from a party in Kahului about 11 p.m. Saturday, police said in an emailed press release.

Two men grabbed her, put her into a dark-colored sport utility vehicle and drove to a remote area of Paia, where they tried to sexually assault her, police said.

But she was able to fend off her attackers, biting one of them in the cheek, police said.

She then fled and made her way home at about 1 a.m.

The men were described as "local," possibly Filipino, between 25 to 30 years old.

One of the attackers has a bite mark on his face and is about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a slender build, police said.

The department is asking the public's help in identifying the suspects, who should not be approached.

Anyone with information is asked to call 244-6400 or 244-6425.

You give him too much credit by assuming he has a job. More likely, he was on "work-release" and will have some explaining to do when he goes back "inside" tomorrow.

Nay !! As not one filipino....they think they too smart for that. But if they do the drug/alcohol stuff, then its possible. May be they need more dogs running the roads black there. The brothers in the "can" ever find out what they did....they going get the "da-kind".

I can think of a better place that she could have bit instead of his face. That would have put him permanently out of the sex assault business.
