Woman seriously injured in moped accident near Sandy Beach

A woman in her 30s was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a moped crash near Sandy Beach, Emergency Medical Services said. 

The crash reportedly occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Kalanianaole Highway. No other vehicles were involved.

Paramedics reported that the woman was not wearing a helmet.

The woman was taken to the trauma center in serious condition.
