Second suspect arrested in Hawaii island home invasion

Hawaii County police have arrested the second man wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery in the Leilani Estates subdivision on July 24.

At 12:20 p.m. Thursday, police arrested 30-year-old Kawika Benny Kahee at a home in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision.

Under a grand jury indictment, he is charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault, second-degree theft, third-degree promoting a dangerous drug, and drug paraphernalia. He was also arrested and charged with and contempt of court and two counts of no-bail probation revocation. His bail for the remaining offenses was set at $58,000.

At 2:20 p.m. Monday, detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Section arrested and charged Mark Mc Curley on charges of second-degree robbery, second-degree theft and kidnapping. His bail was set at $85,000.
