Moped driver, 65, seriously injured in downtown area collision

A 65-year-old man operating a moped was injured in a collision with a vehicle at about 1:45 p.m. on Lusitana Street Monday in Honolulu's downtown area, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

Emergency Medical Services transported the man to a nearby trauma hospital in serious condition. According to the report, the man was not wearing a helmet.
