Kailua man arrested for allegedly choking woman

Police arrested a 53-year-old Kailua man Wednesday who allegedly struck and choked a 27-year-old woman Tuesday.

The man and woman were involved in a relationship, police said.

The man allegedly struck and choked the woman about 8 a.m. Tuesday. She was able to flee and call the police.

Police arrested the man 7:20 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of felony abuse.

The case is pending investigation.
