A search is under way at Haleakala National Park for a missing hiker.

The search for the hiker, a 62-year-old Lahaina man, began last night in Haleakala Crater, after the man did not return from a day hike. The man was last seen by his wife on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters located his car at the 8,000-foot level.

At this time, five ground teams and a helicopter are searching of the crater area.

I swear earlier this article stated they were searching for a 67 year old lost hiker, now it's a 62 yr old. Better hurry up and find gramps or they'll be searching for a lost 6th grade hiker.
