Maui man arrested for allegedly shooting neighbor with BB gun

A Haiku man has been charged with terroristic threatening and assault after he allegedly threatened a neighbor with a BB gun and shot him on Friday, Maui police said.

The man, John Amoral, 41, was released after posted $2,200 bail Saturday.

Police said Amoral allegedly threatened his neighbor while holding a BB gun at about 11:09 a.m. Friday and fired at the victim, causing minor injuries.

Officers arrested Amoral on two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and one count of third-degree assault.
