Police: Woman held pregnant sister while friend stabbed her

By Gregg K. Kakesako

LAST UPDATED: 02:43 p.m. HST, Oct 10, 2013

A 20-year-old Mililani woman held down her pregnant sister while a male friend stabbed the victim in the back several times, according to a police affidavit.

Jessica Lee Hinebaugh was charged Wednesday with second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree robbery, kidnapping, second-degree identity theft, second-degree theft and unauthorized possession of confidential personal information.

Michael Ayala, 23, is charged with second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree robbery, kidnapping, second-degree identity theft, and second-degree theft.

Both remain in custody each unable to post $150,000 bail.

According to the police affidavit Hinebaugh, without warning, tackled her 23-year-old sister, Casey Ann Jones, in her Mililani apartment at 11 a.m. Sunday. Jones is two months pregnant, according to the affidavit.

While Hinebaugh held her sister down, Ayala allegedly stabbed Jones several times in the back. Hinebaugh then ordered Jones to book two plane tickets for her and Ayala using her older sister's bank information, leaving Honolulu for Miami the next day. Hinebaugh also allegedly took her older sister's ATM card and personal identification number.

A Honolulu Airport security guard who had received a police-issued alert about the robbery suspects, stopped the couple on Monday. Ayala and Hinebaugh were then arrested by deputy sheriffs. Jones was later treated for her stab wounds at Wahiawa Hospital.

rkc and sailfish, I've begun trying to ignore her (him?), since i've fallen into her trap and responded to that hateful ignorance quite a few times. But that didn't lessen the frustration that I've felt. It's hard not to rise in defense of our home, which ever part of Hawaii she's currently trashing. . . . .allie demeans herself alone with her unkindness.

I agree, copperwire. No matter how many times we've pointed out her ignorance, allie persists in posting on just about every story she can find something negative about. I stopped responding to "it" weeks ago and try to skip over anything "it" says. Life is too short to let someone so petty and stupid affect us.

Unfortunately we have to pay millions now to keep these sub-humans behind prison bars. A society who wastes millions on human vermins is sick. Only death would be the right sentence for serious criminals.

Grim, a society that would hand out death as readily as you think you desire would be committing its own slow and painful suicide in the doing. Be careful what you wish for.

Whenever I want something from my family, I stab them and hold them at knifepoint until they relent. Doesn't everyone do the same? They are good people, would never hurt anyone, and I am shocked they would do this. The judge will let them off with time already served, since they are first time offenders. When will the fun end?
