King Street reopened after suspicious package removed

Police reopened South King Street between University Avenue and Kuhio Elementary School after removing a suspicious package Thursday afternoon.

Police said the closure was a precautionary measure while the package was removed, according to a police advisory, which was issued at about 2:08 p.m.

The street reopened about 40 minutes later.

Just another drill. Second one in as many days. Good to keep the Swat team and Fire Dept on their toes. Also good way to justify spending all that money on Swat and the special response team from the Fire dept and to keep the general public in fear.
