Schatz has about as much influence over the Senate as an ant has over an elephant. Looks like he was speaking to an empty chamber.

The senate majority - refused to compromise and have put the entire world economy in jeopardy - narrow mindedness and shortsighted. Compromise means both sides giving in - Democrats in the senate and white house will be the cause of the next world wide economic calamity...

Entrenched politician are the hallmark of all this bickering. Term limits will certainly solve most of the problems facing the Nation. Career politicians are only looking out for themselves. Prime examples are their salary structure and perks. They are even balking against joining in on the ACA and abandon their own private health insurance plans. Likewise, they have included their staffs. What's good for goose should good for the gander. Additionally, the legislators have remarked that they would not be able to keep their staff if they were forced to join the ACA. What is the truth about the ACA if the very staff that drew up the bill do not want buy their makings?? Something stinks.

Just tootin' the party line. Why is it that the Republicans are always the one's that have to compromise? Democrat's don't know how? HRH Obama sure don't.

With the out of control spending that's been going on it's not a matter of if the government is going to default it just a matter of when. We might as well do it now and get it over with as opposed to a few years from now.

Brain Schatz is a left winged liberal. Read HI Reporter's article entiltled:No more tolerance: Senate Democrat wants leftists to ‘ridicule’ global warming skeptics, he's quoted saying "These people have to be ridiculed,” Schatz said at the gathering of liberal activists. “They have to be run out of town rhetorically.” And so many of you think that this government shutdown is just because of the Republicans. with this type of attitude, it is any wonder that the dems won't compromise and now they want to reinstate cuts from the Sequestration. By the way that's a law, just like Obamacare is the law. This mainstream media at SA really does a disservice to the people of this state by picking and choosing what they want to write.

Schatz is a typical liberal hack. Tows the party line and redefines the meaning of "compromise". A shameful display of what it's like to kiss Reid's behind. It's called AMBITION. Go ahead dem voters, be proud of all these wack jobs you voted in. You can't even begin to see the damage they do to our families and to our beloved state.

Schatz pandering again...the government has no money! Be creative Brian and figure out ways to generate money instead of just printing it.

Schatz just proved he will not be a statesman or problem solver. Just another party hack joining in on the name calling. That really makes seeking a win-win harder. Lost my vote.
