Authorities charged a 58-year-old homeless man with second-degree murder in the beating death of 49-year-old man at Aala Park earlier this month.

According to police, Ronald Page assaulted the victim, identified as Lynn Riley, around 4:25 p.m. on Oct. 1. Riley, who was also homeless, was transported by paramedics to an area hospital, where he  died.

The Medical Examiner's Office said Riley died of bleeding within the skull due to blunt force injury from the assault.

Police arrested Page on Thursday at Tripler Army Medical Center.

Page was being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

And the public doesn't hear the half of it. During the past few months--there have been a rash of beatings, stabbings and other violent assaults in Chinatown--but only homicides such as this make the news.

Homeless man going to jail sees three hot meals a day, a warm bed, free medical, etc. I'm glad the Democrats and the Republicans are caring for them.

Honupic? I chose the old usage of the words for unreasonable anger. Like the people in the homeless camps feel. Let's organize locally to help the hopeless.
