Soaring at Log Cabins: A bodyboarder caught some air and attention on Saturday at Log Cabins on Oahu’s North Shore. Waves with 10-foot faces made for a spectacular launch.

Waves with faces of 10 to 15 feet are expected on the north shores of Oahu, Kauai, Maui and Molokai through this morning, prompting a high surf advisory until 6 a.m. The advisory is also in effect for the west shores of Kauai, where 8- to 12-foot waves are expected.

The National Weather Service said beachgoers, wimmers and surfers should heed the advice of lifeguards and exercise caution. Boater should also expect recreational surfers and body boarders using harbor channels to access surfing areas.

Surf is expected to lower to 8- to12-feet today and gradually diminish through Friday, when another moderate swell is expected to arrive and linger into Saturday.
