Paraglider hurt in hard landing on hill above Dillingham Field

A 61-year-old paraglider was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when he completed a hard landing on a hillside above Dillingham Airfield, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

The crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. near the Peacock Flats Jeep Trail, EMS said. 

The man was transported to the trauma center in serious condition.
