Surveillance video captures suspect before he puts on mask

By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 10:23 p.m. HST, Oct 22, 2013

A burglary suspect tried to hide his identity by putting on a mask, but his image was still captured on video because he didn't put on his mask until after he entered a Honolulu bar.

Police are hoping someone will recognize him and released security camera video of the suspect and an accomplice, who entered the Rose Lounge after hours and stole cash from video machines.

The first suspect can be seen on video near an open door putting on his mask. The second suspect entered already wearing a mask.

The theft happened between 1:45 a.m. and 4:12 a.m. on Oct. 11

Anyone with information can contact police, or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.

If the video had started 30 seconds earlier, it would've also caught him winding up the rubber band that powers his brain. That's a pretty hawt luchador mask he's wearing, though.

This is so funny. This just made my day. I can already see the two baboozes (as someone here has called them) arguing over whose fault it was. Catching these baboozes won't be so hard now. Putting them behind bars for any length of time will be the hard part given how a high ranking police officer got only eight years for racketeering.
