A 27-year-old Haleiwa man was charged Thursday for allegedly sticking up a Sunset Beach business using a handgun to demand money.

Carleton Turner was arrested Wednesday morning and later charged with first-degree robbery and a firearms violation. His bail was set at $25,000.

Police officers were called to the scene at 8:09 p.m. A 28-year-old woman said the suspect went into the business with a handgun and demanded money. After getting an undisclosed amount, the suspect fled the scene.
