Maui police arrested 11 people, 9 adults and 2 juveniles, on a variety of charges during Halloween festivities in Lahaina Thursday.

The charges included drug violations, obstruction of a government operation, open lewdness, contempt of court, underage drinking, assault on a police officer, assault, theft and escape.

Despite the arrests, police said most people attending the celebration abided by the law and police called Lahaina's Halloween a "successful event."
