Police charged a 20-year-old Waianae man with repeatedly assaulting a 24-year-old woman.

According to police, Rein Keliihoomalu violated terms of a temporary restraining order three times between Nov. 5 and 9.

On Nov. 5, Keliihoomalu allegedly approached and struck the victim. The next day, he approached the victim again and choked her, police said.

Keliihoomalu violated the protective order again on Saturday and was arrested.

Police charged Keliihoomalu Sunday with two counts of second-degree assault. His aggregate bail was set at $25,000.
