It's a good thing we passed a helmet law for skateboarders....didn't we?

The law was only going to cover kids up to 16. Stupid law that didn't pass because the HPD would have had trouble enforcing it since how do you determine a kid is 16 or younger!!

Sad story. Helmets would help but I am against making it a law. In the end, we are all responsible for the decisions we make and have to accept the consequences of those decisions. A law will not protect you from yourself. All you should do is provide the information of how a helmet would increase your safety but it should be up to the individual to decide, not the authorities.
