Woman reports possible kidnapping attempt near UH-Manoa

Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping that allegedly occurred early Saturday morning in the University area.

According to police, a 25-year-old woman was grabbed from behind as she was walking home. The woman screamed, struggled and was finally able to get away with the help of a passerby.

The suspect fled on foot.

After the incident, the victim noticed that a bag she dropped during the struggle was missing.

Police did not provide a description of the suspect.
