Crash proves fatal for Maui moped rider

A 54-year-old Kihei man seriously injured when the moped he was operating collided with a truck on Oct. 25 has died, according to Maui police.

Nicholas Webb was traveling south on South Kihei Road when he apparently lost control of his moped, crossed the center line and collided with a pick-up truck traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old man from Haiku, was not injured.

Webb died on Nov. 18.
