Alleged wrong-way driver in Kapahulu arrested after fleeing scene

A 33-year-old man, who allegedly drove the wrong way on a Kapahulu street collided with another vehicle, was arrested after fleeing the scene of the accident, police said.

The incident happened just after midnight Thursday.

Police said a 28-year-old man said there were two passengers in his vehicle and he had just exited when the crash happened.

Police did not report any serious injuries.

The suspect fled the scene, but officers were able to locate and arrest him, police said.
