A man died and another man was taken to a hospital by helicopter after a single-vehicle accident in Waikoloa on Hawaii island.
Fire officials responded at 11:27 a.m. Friday to the call and found a man thrown from a boom truck and another pinned in it.
The truck apparently had turned over after going off the road up and embankment, Hawaii County fire officials said.
Officials said the man thrown from the truck died but the other man was extricated and did not seem to have serious injuries. He was taken by helicopter to the hospital.
