Officers arrested a second teenager in connection with an alleged burglary at an Ewa Beach home that was foiled by a neighbor.

Police said the neighbor called police and detained a 17-year-old boy after seeing two teenagers take items from a garage at about 5 p.m. Sunday.

Police arrested the boy detained by the neighbor. The other suspect fled the scene.

However, officers arrested a 14-year-old boy Monday afternoon in connection with the case.

If you get caught stealing once you should lose one hand. Get caught a second time, lose the other hand. Get caught a third time and get executed right after trial. then watch the crime rate go down.

These crooks probably were involved in many other crimes, so it's great to get them off the streets. They probably will be back committing more crimes after they get out on bail though...

We should put these offenders on the rubbish pick and graffiti clean up crew. And have them wear a sign that states that they are paying the price of their offense. Offenders of this age do not like being shamed in front of their peers. That will help to discourage other teens from doing these things in the first place. We get to have our streets and parks cleaned and at the same time discourage criminal behavior. Wait, the city and county work crews would lose some work and then the unions would step in. There goes the idea.
