Police crime reduction unit officers Wednesday found and arrested a 39-year-old homeless man who is suspected of trying to kill a 49-year-old man off a dirt road in Pearl City.

Police said the suspect allegedly shot and seriously wounded the older man near the ABC Auto Parts off Lehua Avenue.

The victim managed to walk along a bike path to a house in Waiawa where a resident saw he was bleeding from a gunshot wound.

Police said the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his limbs and body.

Police arrested the suspect in Ewa on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
