Hawaii’s social casino game players were 20 percent more likely than the national average to play on a mobile device versus a desktop, according to the first Social Casino Index produced by DoubleDown Casino maker International Game Technology.

Also, players in Hawaii, Delaware, Colorado, California and New Jersey, played the most virtual chips using a mobile device, versus during desktop play.

IGT’s index finds that of the more than 6 million people who play DoubleDown Casino games on Facebook online or on a mobile device every month, most are women between the ages of 45 and 55, and that women played 30 percent more virtual chips than men per gaming session.

West Coast players were luckier in the first half of the year, winning more than 1.7 virtual chips in jackpots, versus the East Coast’s 790 million.

The states with the highest concentration of players across the U.S. were No. Dakota, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Wyoming, IGT said, in a statement.
