University of Hawaii at Manoa campus security officials said a suspect in a string of recent break-ins was caught early Tuesday morning.

The suspect, identified only as a “young male,” was apprehended at a UH Press office around 3:43 a.m. The UH Press office has been previously entered illegally on Monday morning.

At the time, UH campus security said the method of break-in was consistent with other burglaries at UH facilities.

Honolulu police arrested the suspect and are continuing their investigation into the burglaries.

UH sources said the intruder drank from an employee’s supply of tea, used an employee’s cup, used a computer workstation, and danced on a couch, leaving dirty footprints on the light fabric.
