Flash flood warning issued for Big Island

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the Big Island, effective until 9:30 p.m.

At 6:18 p.m. radar showed heavy rain near Honokaa.

A flash flood warning means that flash flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low lying areas. Residents are urged to move to higher ground.
