Paramedics transported a 33-year-old woman an Oahu trauma center in serious but stable condition Wednesday afternoon after she lost control of her motorcycle near Hanauma Bay and hit the pavement, according to Emergency Medical Services officials.

The incident took place around 4:50 p.m. on Kalanianaole Highway, said Shayne Enright, spokeswoman for Emergency Medical Services. No lanes were closed as a result of the crash, Enright said.

To get these on the news, HSA needed to comb through i don't know how many 911 responses before they pick out something that is newsworthy. To get in the news, this 33-year old woman, whom I initially thought was a man, as men naturally operate motorcycles much more than women, maybe 80% men, must have been hurt terribly enough to maybe need hospitalization, having and to hold, to do this on new year's day, to get her 15 minutes of fame. I been mentioned in the paper at least four times, in 2013, 1991, 1974, and 1957. With 1957 obviously being my birth announcement and 1974, having scored high on my sports team in my junior year in High School. Shall i type some more? No i am getting carpal syndrome lol. Good night and good luck, per Walter Cronkite. u see Barry, u need a whole lot of life experience before u partake yourself in POTUS, so on the job training is not desired. On the other hand, being Queen of England since the 1950s, for the current Queen Elizabeth, well u know, can be omg, i can't say it !! My prediction is that this comment will be shown, without approval of the gang upstairs. However as usual I made a copy of it, before i press submit, as I always do, in this case, using a bluetooth wireless mouse.

I saw this accident after returning from Sandy Beach/Makapuu Beach. She was lying on her back in the street with a man making sure she didn't move. She was able to move her arm and legs but as all accidents it's better to keep still for possible spinal injuries. The motorcycle's fiberglass was smashed up and it looked brand new. She was wearing a helmet and what looks like a leather jacket. There was an emergency vehicle to block traffic going uphill but he was just standing there then a fire truck, cop car and finally an ambulance came. Hopefully she'll be okay. I wanted to stop and assist but lots of cars already did and didn't want to add to the traffic problem when the emergency vehicles came.

Any information on why this woman crashed? During that time, one would think it was daylight so visibility was clear, there was no rain so roads where not wet, slippery, etc. Was the accident due to rider error or because of some other motor vehicle caused her to "lose control".
