Pair held in alleged burglary, assault at Sand Island and Nimitz

Police arrested a 23-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man after they allegedly entered a secured office and assaulted a 56-year-old woman this morning.

The incident took place around 9:40 a.m. at a business establishment at the corner of Sand Island Access Road and North Nimitz Highway, according to police.

The victim suffered bodily injury from the assault. The suspects, both from Waianae, were arrested at the scene.

The female suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary and released pending investigation. The male suspect was arrested for harassment and an outstanding contempt charge. He was released after posting a combined $550 in bail.
