Scattered showers continue over the islands

Scattered showers are expected to continue over Oahu and other islands through Wednesday, National Weather Service forecasters said.

Radar showed most of the showers over Maui and Molokai this morning.

But there is a 50 percent chance of rain today and tonight in Honolulu because of a moisture from a lingering weather system and afternoon cloud buildup. That storm system brought isolated, but heavy showers to Oahu Monday.

The forecast for Honolulu calls for voggy and partly cloudy skies with southwest Kona winds blowing at 10 to 15 mph.

The atmosphere is expected to dry out and stabilize by Wednesday.

Gentle to moderate trade winds should return Thursday. But winds will become light by the weekend and the muggy, Kona weather conditions are expected to return.

I wonder how the unsheltered homeless fare in their tents when it rains a lot with thunderstorms?

News was that there was a 70% to 80% chance of rain yesterday. None that I saw, so hopefully it stays that way.
