Crews aid woman who breaks ankle while hiking on Maui

Maui fire rescue personnel Saturday rescued an 60-year-old woman who broke her right ankle while hiking down the Peahi cliffs near the "Jaws" lookout.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 12:41 p.m. They stabilized the woman and airlifted her to a landing zone established near Hana Highway.

Paramedics transported the woman to Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition.
