HPD only has 48 hours to charge a suspect before they are required by law to let the suspect go. If detectives don’t think they can hand a full report to the prosecutor’s office within that time frame, keeping the kid behind bars for a few more hours may be unwise from a cellblock backlog perspective.

Ya think?

Keeaumoku must be a high crime area as there was an assault on officer by a DUI last night. It seems as though this location is on the news frequently.
