The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man whose body was found on Jan. 16 at a Pawaa area bus stop.

He likely lived at the bus stop, at the intersection of Kalakaua Avenue and South King Street, and his personal belongings were found there, according to a news release issued by the Medical Examiner's Office.

The Medical Examiner's Office estimates the man's age at between 45 and 65. The man appears to have been Caucasian with blue eyes, gray hair, and a flowing white beard and mustache. He stood 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 125 pounds. Also, he had a large vertical scar on his abdomen/chest.

The man's name was possibly George, the Medical Examiner's Office said. The Queen's Medical Center & Straub Hospital personnel were familiar with the decedent, but did not have identification information, according to the release.

Anyone with information that may lead to the man's identification is asked to call the Medical Examiner's Office at 768-3090.

Maybe family on the mainland could identify. My condolences to a man who lived and died alone on the street.

Another "looking for assistance in finding/identifying" a person, without a picture or diagram. How is the public supposed to help. Oh yeah, forgot, everyone has ESP or access to security camera's!
