Wahine basketball team wins third straight

Kamilah Jackson scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Hawaii women's basketball team defeated UC Davis 64-50 tonight for its third straight Big West win.

UH (9-7, 3-1 BWC) shot 50 percent in the second half in leading by as many as 19 points in the period. The lead was just three at halftime as both teams got off to slow starts.

Jackson shot 4-for-5 in the second half and senior center Pua Kailiawa scored a season-high nine points off the bench in the victory.

The Wahine continue play at home against UC Irvine on Saturday.
