Hawaiian Electric Co. crews have restored power to about 560 homes affected by an hourlong outage Friday evening.

The outage, first reported around 8:50 p.m., was triggered by a "flash over" that occurred when power lines apparently made contact with each other, possibly due to high wind, according to a HECO spokesman.
