Police catch teenagers allegedly stealing moped

A witness alerted police to a vehicle theft Saturday morning, police said.

The witness saw a 17-year-old boy going through a 34-year-old woman's vehicle on Pensacola Street at about 1:10 a.m.

Arriving officers saw two 17-year-old boys attempting to steal a moped and arrested them at 1:45 a.m.

A petition was filed on one of the juvenile suspects. The complaint was withdrawn on the other boy, police said.
