Akaka Falls State Park on Hawaii island closed Saturday while police and firefighters searched for 53-year-old Jeffrey Reyes, authorities said.

Reyes' body was found at 11:50 a.m. about 30-feet deep at the bottom of a pond approximately a quarter mile downstream of Akaka Falls by scuba divers.

He was last seen at the park at 8:49 a.m. Friday, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The DLNR closes everything yea first for investigation though they will keep it closed for our safety. How much of this state is closed by non elected DLNR folks? Moke, Sacred falls, untold trails, they will gobble up each acre they can, and say they do it for us BUT they want us off their property.
