Missing Lanai man found

The 90-year-old man with Alzheimer's Disease that Maui County firefighters have been searching for has been found, a Maui Fire Department spokesman said.

He was found behind the Lalakoa subdivision at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The man was reported missing around 4:50 p.m. Friday by family members when he didn't return home after his daily walk.

Lanai firefighters and a fire helicopter from Kahului began searching about 5:30 p.m., but the search was suspended because of darkness. Firefighters and volunteers resumed their search at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Lanai is a small island, with few residents and a small town. For goodness sakes, just how many places are there to search on Lanai for a 90 yr. old man???
