Hauoli Street between Fern and Lime streets reopened this morning after crews completed repairs on the roadway and a broken water main in Moiliili, the Board of Water Supply reports.

Road repairs were finished at about 2:30 a.m. and police reopened the road, which had been closed at about 12:18 p.m. after the break in the 8-inch main.

Service was restored at about 8:15 p.m. to 11 of the 12 customers affected, the agency said by email.

Patching will not fix our sewers and water mains. They must be replaced. Use the rail money and this will take care of the continuing road closures and help with our traffic problem.
