Witness recognizes theft suspect leading to an arrest

A witness recognized a theft suspect twice, leading to the arrest of a 21-year-old man, police said.

The witness told police he saw a 21-year-old man break in and steal items from vehicle in Makakilo last month. The witness confronted the suspect, who fled, police said.

Yesterday, the witness saw the theft suspect again and called police. Officers arrested the suspect for the alleged theft and for outstanding warrants.

Hopefully they convict this guy since usually it's just a few who commit most of the crimes. Once they get that guy behind bars for good, then the crime rate in that area drops significantly.
