Police arrest man in Chinatown for assault

A 51-year-old Chinatown resident was charged with assaulting and injuring another man.

Police said the 66-year-old victim suffered bodily injuries during the confrontation that occurred just before 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers arrested the suspect on Beretainia Street in Chinatown, but police did not say where the incident occurred.

Daniel Cardona was charged with second-degree assault and posted $15,000 bail.
