Celina Ng, 17, Carley Nakano, 16, Leanne Fujimoto, 16, and Sara Lee, 16, were full of smiles and laughs as they rode the "Sizzler" at the Punahou School Carnival on Friday. The event continues through Saturday, 11:00 am -11:00 pm.

Skies are clearing over Oahu as trade winds begin to return, but there’s still a chance of scattered showers over the Punahou Carnival Saturday.

The National Weather Service says we can expect partly to mostly sunny skies through the weekend with scattered showers and trade winds of 10 to 15 mph.

There’s a greater chance of rain in the windward and mauka areas, where mostly cloudy skies could continue.

Another weather system approaching the islands from the northwest may bring Kona weather back Sunday or Monday, when southeast winds should bring muggy conditions, vog and more showers.
