Man arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers

Police arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage and for assaulting two police officers.

Officers stopped the man for a traffic violation at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday in Ewa Beach. The man got out of the vehicle and allegedly harassed the officer, police said.

He then allegedly resisted arrest and allegedly damaged police property and injured an officer.

A struggle ensued, and the man allegedly assaulted two male officers, ages 55 and 36.
