Fire to Kaneohe Bay house estimated at $30,000

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that damaged a two-story home near the Bayview Golf Course on  Kaneohe Bay Wednesday.

Only the master bedroom of the four-bedroom house on Ikenakai street suffered major damage which was estimated  at $30,000.

The house is occupied by a woman who was not home at the time of the fire, according to a fire official.

No one was injured and damage was limited to the house's second floor.

Firefighters responded to the 7:56 a.m. and saw smoke coming out from a second-floor bedroom. No flames were visible. The fire was brought under control at 8:16 a.m.
