Police have taken into custody a Kalihi man wanted in connection with the attempted murder of two people — one of them dragged beneath a vehicle for four blocks.

The suspect was arrested at 11:30 a.m. in Kalihi.

Police said he is suspected in hitting a 35-year-old man and his 18-year-old female companion with his car in the parking lot of the Waimaha housing complex at 6:45 a.m. Monday.

The male victim was dragged four blocks under the carriage of the suspect’s car until he was dislodged on Mill Street near Tamura Superette.

The victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition and was expected to undergo surgery Wednesday.
