Police respond to altercation in Waipahu

A 48-year-old man took a punch to his jaw early Sunday morning while attempting to break up a fight in the Waipahu area, police said. 

A 36-year-old man allegedly threw the punch around 2:10 a.m., according to police records.

Police said the punch seriously injured the victim.
