KHON's Vanessa Stewart joins marketing company

Vanessa Stewart, KHON-TV news reporter and digital web producer, will depart television news to join Olomana Loomis ISC as its senior communications project manager.

She will manage major public relations and corporate communications work for the firm, according to a statement.

Stewart was recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, Hawaii Chapter for excellence in business reporting in 2013 for her coverage of Hawaiian Airlines' inaugural flight to Fukuoka, Japan.

The appointment was announced Tuesday morning.
