A 39-year-old man was arrested Monday for a Sunday stabbing in Maili in which a 42-year-old man was critically wounded and later died, police and Emergency Medical Services said.
The 42-year-old man was taken to a hospital early Sunday in critical condition with lacerations, EMS said. He died Monday afternoon, HPD spokeswoman Michelle Yu said.
Police received the call at 4:40 a.m. Sunday.
The man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder Monday, but has now been booked on suspicion of second-degree murder.
