Honolulu Fire Department crews mop up after a fuel leak at Rolloffs Hawaii on Sand Island Monday morning.

The Coast Guard is investigating a report of a diesel fuel leak from a 1,000-gallon tank at Sand Island.

KITV reports a security guard for Rolloffs Hawaii smelled something odd Sunday night, then returned several hours later and noticed fuel was leaking from the property onto the streets.

Hawaii News Now reports the Coast Guard will determine if any diesel fuel went into the ocean.

A representative for Rolloffs, a trash services company, turned off the valve and stopped the leak. The fire department blocked the storm drain.
